LadyKiller the Maneater
Alison Bremner - Tlingit
This small collection of works is an exciting opportunity to highlight four pieces from Alison's 2023 solo exhibit launched at the grunt gallery in Vancouver, BC.
The star of the show is Ladykiller the Maneater, a deity in the shape of a primordial eel. She is a fantastic creature who has slumbered since the ancient past, recently waking into the world of the 20th century. She travels past her own history, through neon-lit city streets, into the unknown world of imagination, and above a harsh web that ensnares many.
This small series shows a microcosm of life experiences as they appear to Ladykiller through her very unique perspectives.
