Kwakwaka'wakw

Lloyd Wadhams Jr. was born to Lloyd and Virginia Wadhams in 1967 at Alert Bay, British Columbia, off the northeastern coast of Vancouver Island. He is a member of the Kwakwaka’wakw nation and belongs to a prestigious family of prominent and proven master carvers. It was only natural that he follows in their footsteps, beginning with wood carving as a teenager.

After spending a number of years perfecting his wood carving, Lloyd progressed to carving silver and gold jewelry. Not only does Lloyd take pride in preserving the style of his ancestors, but he also enjoys pushing the boundaries of his artwork. Many of his pieces retain traditional concepts but possess a contemporary flair through his unique metal combinations. Consequently, he has been successful at setting himself apart and he has been rewarded with praise. Currently, Lloyd resides in Vancouver and relies on his artwork for his livelihood.

His unique, yet classic, jewelry is sought after around the world for its signature style and quality craftsmanship.
