These Salmon were a staple food source to the Coast Salish people and were crucial to traditional ceremonies and trade. Symbolizing fertility, prosperity and renewal salmon are amongst the most significant creatures to our traditions.

Turning point signifies the critical changes we need to make to sustain these valued salmon by protecting our waters. These salmon are depicted on a Coast Salish spindle whorl, symbolizing regeneration and renewal."
