"This panel is a combination of an alder Eagle mask and an old growth red cedar panel, with old growth red cedar bark rope round the outside and decorated with abalone shell. One of my favorite stories in my life has been “The Eagle and the Young Chief.” I’ve used it on many totem poles and other panels. The story is where a young boy rescued an Eagle. Later on when he became an adult and the Chief of the village, he was worried about feeding his village because they were starving. The Eagle  came back and brought  Salmon for days and days and days and fed the village. Eventually he brought larger and larger sea creatures including a Whale because he was a magical creature who could do that. So, one good turn deserves another. Treat each other with respect and kindness, and it comes back to you."
