We Exist As One is a piece that is very exciting for me. The idea came from a very good friend of mine who actually made the cube itself. I have seen many cubes before in contemporary and modern artwork from around the world, but I have never seen one painted with Northwest Coast style formlines. I thought many times about modern cubism and early 20th century ‘spheres’ as forms of expression of the world we live in. These designs are visually interpretive: there are images of the Eagle, Hawk, Owl, Raven, Orca, Wolf, Bear, Deer, Frog, Salmon and Human and many more. Every angle and every view shows another perspective and gives us another chance to remember that our world is all one single being and that we are merely a small part of it.
