For this comb I chose to carve a being that I haven’t seen depicted in the art before. I had the pleasure of stumbling across one while walking the forest near where I live and after the encounter the idea for the comb started to flash through my mind. I kept seeing the salamander in this spiral shape and was compelled to carve it out of yew wood.
