Sarah Putuguk

Inuit

Sarah was born in 1958 and is the daughter of celebrated artist Sharni Pootoogook. Sarah is part of a prominent artistic family with roots and relations across the Arctic.

Although Sarah’s work has been shown for years, the bulk of her creativity came from the late 1970's to mid 1980's. She often created pieces using the stonecut technique, and collaborated with other artists from the Povungnituk community, like Leah Qumaluk, Annie Amamatuak and Simiuni Sivuarapik.
