"This mask is made of alder and is called Potlatch Woman. The reason it’s called Potlatch Woman for a couple reasons. It’s got a lot of abalone to show her wealth and her lip is a labret too is abalone as well. The whole idea behind this mask is to show the wealth of the high- ranking woman, who was responsible for putting on flam-bang excellent potlatches."
