Quvianaqtuq Pudlat was born in 1962 in Cape Dorset and currently resides there.

Quvianaqtuq’s parents were both printmaking artists and his grandfather Simeonie Quppapik was a well-known artist, printmaker and typographer.

Quvianaqtuk is a well-respected sculpture and his carvings of animals and birds are in many fine collections. He is a very involved member of the Cape Dorset Fine Arts community.

We recognize his print creations to depict wildlife in a way that feels vibrant, colorful, and intriguing. He has a way of capturing the movement of animals in the way a photograph would, while adding a bit of playful imagination
