The Autumn Moon represents the abundance of resources that we collect and store to carry us through until Spring. Most importantly are the Chum and Coho Salmon that gather for the annual Salmon Run, shown on the forehead of the Moon. Another symbol of the Autumn is the Northern Flicker, one of our most sacred animals. In some areas of the Coast, the brilliant orange feathers of the Flicker were often considered more sacred than those of the Eagle. The Flicker represent motion, constant growth and the cyclical nature of life.
