The beginning of time for our family was after the Great Flood, when Raven saw the top of a mountain poking out of the endless water. He landed there and waited for many weeks while the water slowly receded. Once it was completely gone and he could see mountains and valleys with settled rivers and lakes, he decided he wanted to stay in the area. It was then that Raven removed his feathered cloak and took his human form and spirit. This is the beginning of time as we know it.
